Knut Nystedt's De Profundis was chosen as 'The Work of the Year' in 1965 - an award given by the society of Norwegian Composers - and was elected by the jury of the International Society for Contemporary Music for aperformance at The World Music Festival, Stockholm, in 1966. This is an exciting choral work for SATB (divisi) chorus (a cappella), providing a challenge for the advanced choir.
