The celebrated work written by Grieg is an adaptation of Ibsen’s drama about the adventures of Peer Gynt. The characters of the text inspired by northern fairytales are portrayed with the help of music influenced by Norwegian folklore, propelling the work to become one of the most representative Scandinavian musical compositions. The composer extracted a selection of parts in the form of suites, the piano arrangements of which allow pianists at an intermediate level to explore one of the most popular musical works ever written.
