Szelényi István: 24 Easy Little Concert Pieces 1
for violin with piano accompaniment in the I-III. position
István Szelényi (1904-1972) has written a number of pieces for violin with piano accompaniment which capture a wide range of moods. Joy, sorrow, light-heartedness, and exaltation can easily be experienced by young violinists through these works. Hungarian folk music elements are overshadowed by melodies and harmonies characteristic of late-Romantic music, and this has added to the popularity of these pieces.
