This publication presents two pieces by Tobias Hume originally written for the composer’s favoured lyra viols, transcribed for three guitars. The works exemplify the distinctive features of 16th-17th-century court music while offering a glimpse into the style of their eccentric composer. They make an excellent addition to the chamber music repertoire of intermediate-level guitarists.
