The present volume is a continuation to the collection Chamber Music for Two Melodic Instruments and Basso Continuo (Z. 6915). Its pieces are only slightly more difficult than the works contained therein (string players can perform most of the pieces in the first position). Trios for Strings or Woodwinds includes works by masters of the Vienna Classicism. They can already be acquired simultaneously with the somewhat more demanding pieces of the volume Chamber Music for Two Melodic Instruments and Basso Continuo. The instrumentation may be freely chosen; string, woodwind or mixed trios and chamber orchestras are equally appropriate.
