This volume in the ABC series, having regard to the special demands of oboe teaching, takes the beginner on from a less elementary level than the other volumes, and accordingly proceeds to a higher level than the other instrumental ABCs. The authors have made this volume usable in a variety of ways by including not only a wealth of exercises and folk melody material but also a survey of the history of the instrument, scale exercises and a little lexicon of musical terms. The textual instructions are provided in three languages: German, English and Hungarian.
