Published in 1924 as'revised and edited ' by violinist Samuel Dushkin, Maria Theresia Von Paradis' Sicilienne is the most famous of her works. Dushkin later claimed that he had discovered this piece as a keyboard work, and had recast it for violin and piano, but it is fairly certain that the piece was in fact composed by Dushkin.
