These 18 Little Piano Pieces are a selection from the two manuscript notebooks that Johann Sebastian Bach made as a gift for Anna Magdalena, his second wife. The notebooks include works not only by Bach, but also by other contemporary composers, and these 18 pieces also feature works that can be ascribed to other composers.
The current edition is based on the original musical text (urtext), and supplemented with performance indications by Lajos Hernádi. In the use of dynamics and other performance indications the editor has strived for simplicity and stylistic appropriateness.
The pieces in this collection can be used as material for the 2nd to 4th years of learning the piano.
