Mendelssohn’s Rondo Capriccioso Op.14 is a fantastic work for Solo Piano, guaranteed to impress if mastered correctly. This piece interestingly begins with an elegant Andante section, however soon progresses into therhythmic Presto, which continues to the end. Mendelssohn exploits the dynamic range of the piano, juxtaposing the pianissimo and fortissimo sections in a structurally interesting and expressively contrastingway.
