Heinz Holliger composed this short encore piece for the birthday of the famous Austrian violinist Thomas Zehetmair. Starting from a brief 'Happy Birthday' quotation, it soon turns towards the 'staggering' finale of Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 6 as an anecdotal memory of a joint concert in Newcastle.
