Rezetdinov Leonid: Labyrinths. Note-book of Polyphonic Pieces for Piano
The polyphonic cycle ''Labirynths'' is accepted by me as an instrumental piece in seven movements. I distinctly feel theatrical atmosphere in presence of the prologue (''Fanfares'') and epilogue (''Postlude''), so as in every piece of the whole cycle, realy diverse by images and polyphonic development.
I also would like to mark Rezetdinov’s rhythmical organization in music. Every performer should be especially attentive to polymetrical figures, for they are so necessary in modern musical practice of a young pianist.
It’s such a pleasure for me to recommend Leonid Rezetdinov’s polyphonic note-book, because it ought to be studied in senior forms of children music schools, institutes and conservatoires.
