Gárdonyi's Rhapsody is based on the sixteenth-century melody of the 8th Genevan Psalm. Faithful to the spirit of the psalm and its original musical material while enriching them with the composer's own distinctive stylistic features, the organ work is a fine example of Gárdonyi's art.
The publication, which marks the 120th anniversary of Zoltán Gárdonyi's birth and the 40th anniversary of his passing, contains a reproduction of the composer's manuscript.
