András Somos, flautist, teacher and composer, teaches at the Jazz Department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. He composed these delightful miniatures for the 12th National Zoltán Jeney Flute Competition (2027). The pieces combine classical genres with twentieth-century sonorities, including elements of jazz. Each of the six pieces is a compulsory work for one of the competition's age categories.
