This publication presents a scholarly edition of twelve sonatas for transverse flute and basso continuo by Jean-Baptiste Loeillet (de Gant), the prominent 18th-century composer from the musically gifted Loeillet family. Based on early printed sources - particularly a London edition published between 1712 and 1722 - this edition includes the original basso continuo part, a realized version in the score, editorial notes, and performance suggestions. Original notation and editorial additions are clearly distinguished. This critical edition is ideal for both historically informed performance and scholarly study.
