This edition is based on selected piano works by P.I. Tchaikovsky, the text of the academic edition is put (Tchaikovsky P. Complete Works, v. 51-a, 51-6, 52, 53). Considering that during the publication process the author made some changes and clarifications to the text, the editors also used a number of other editions of Tchaikovsky's works, including the editions of Jurgenson revised by the author.
All the author's instructions regarding tempo, dynamics, phrasing, as well as fingering and pedaling, in a word, everything taken from the original text is printed in large print, all additions, both made in the new edition of Jürgenson and apparently authorized, and belonging to editors, are indicated in small print.
