Songs and romances occupy a special place in the vast creative heritage of Alexander Dubuc (1812-1897 / 98). The best of them were so widely recognized that they became truly popular. Among them - ''Heart, heart! Why are you crying'', ''Do not scold me, dear'', ''Khutorok'', ''Street, street, you, brother, drunk'', etc. Over the years, Dubuc's songs and romances were included in the repertoire many famous performers - Fyodor Chaliapin, Yuri Morfessi, Nadezhda Obukhova, Oleg Pogudin, Evgenia Smolyaninova, etc. This edition includes 20 works by the composer - vivid examples of Russian everyday poetry of the second half of the 19th century. The collection is intended for concert and pedagogical practice, as well as amateur playing music.
