The educational collection of the world vocal classics embraces musical and poetical masterpieces created in European countries during different epochs. This is the exposition of dominating vocal styles and schools having been undergoing now interpenetration and reciprocal influence, now isolation and independent development. The third volume of the educational collection covers the Russian vocal music of the 18th century. Here you come through the creation of the composers having formed the Russian music culture. G. Teplov, F. Dubyansky, O. Kozlovsky, D. Bortnyansky, A. Zhylin, N. Titov, A. Alyabyev were the ones to give birth to the genre of the Russian, romance, this inseparable spirit of the Russian music culture.
Romance is a unique pattern of chamber genre. Its imaginative sphere covers diverse lyrical subjects. Therefore it caught fancy of different social strata - from home music lovers up to refined salon performers and concert virtuosos.
