Korotkina A.: Organ Compositions
The composer Anna Korotkina is a person of mighty religious spirit welded with never extinguishing will for studying long-forgotten canticles and heirmologians of the 16th-17th centuries. Due to her inexhaustible inquisitive activity her music for choir, piano and chamber orchestra is getting enriched with the features she discovers in the newly revived opuses.
Korotkina’s organ compositions were performed in Byelorussia at the Polotsk International Organ Music Festival ''Sophia Chimes'' in 1999-2003, International Festival of Old and Modern Music (1997, 1998), Minsk Grand Philharmonic Hall in 2006 and Minsk St. Roch Church (1998-2008), in Germany at Munich (Don Bosko, 1998), Wittenberg (Summerly International Organ Festival on the great organ Ladegast, 1999), Friedrichschafen (International Organ Festival St. Petrus Canisius, 1999), Grossr? schin (International Organ Festival, 1999), Dillenburg (Evang. Stadtkirche Dillenburg, 2001), Neubrandenburg (International Organ Festival ''Bliz aus Grenz'', 2004), Switzerland: in Basel (Basel Munster, 1999), Austria: Graz (Summerly International Organ Festival, 1999), Poland: Poznan (St. Apostles Peter and Paul Cathedral, 9th century, 2003), Legnica (International Organ and Chamber Music Festival ''Conservatorium Organowe'' 2001, 2004), Vronki (International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music, 2002, 2006).
