Oreus V.: Etude-poem for Trumpet and Piano
This mutinous person of Alexander Skryabin exists in this Etude-Poem, though rather invisible. His audacious creative will and impetuous human spirit rises from the depths of this opus. Isn't it the kind of ''Ecstasy Poem'', only just a miniature, where the theme of ''delight'' evolves simultaneously with the theme of ''will'', ''self-statement''. Two extremely contrasting elements - refined exquisite subtlety and grandiose capacity make Oreus's Etude-Poem be alike Skryabin's composition.
The Winds Faculty at the St. Petersburg State Conservatoire recommended this Etude to publication, for it would be mostly useful for music colleges and conservatoires. Hopefully, the Etude-Poem for trumpet and piano by Vladimir Oreus is awaited by musicians with their breath bated.
