Yuri Kornakov, the acknowledged master, one of the leading Petersburgian composers, the pianist, the pedagogue. He is very famous among those, whose passion is music art. Kornakov works in different genres, i. e. the music-theatrical, the symphonic, the chamber-instrumental, the choral, the vocal. His piano compositions and the music for children have enjoyed great popularity.
Yuri Kornakov’s music is original and his creative work is versatile. His compositions are perpetually included to various international festivals’ programmes.
Yuri Kornakov is the Honoured Art Worker of Russia, the professor of the Saint-Petersburg Culture and Arts University and the Humanitarian University of Trade Unions.
His talent’s and skill’s recognition was revealed by the victories at many All-Union and All-Russian composers’ competitions, at the First Prokifiev International Competition, at the four international competitions in Japan. His ballet ''The Lord of Jungle''(to R. Kipling) was a warded the State Prize of Buryatia.
