This collection is addressed to the students of junior, middle and senior forms of children music schools, schools of arts and aesthetic lyceums for to enlarge their repertoire at the piano ensemble class. Despite the outward simplicity and lightness of such pieces as ''Steps to the Sea'', ''Country Seducers'', ''Charleston'', ''Jolly Galop'' ets., they are swarming with the kind of technical and rhythmical obstacles. The work at them makes for the development of syncopated rhythm, coordination dexterity, imaginative performing skill. Besides, mutual music-making will make your day.
Good technical abilities and serious training will be necessary for such canvases as ''Polka'' by B. Smetana, ''Waltz-caprice'' by A. Rubinstein.
All this stock was arranged and prepared by the teachers of the St Petersburg Children Music School No. 17 named after the famous Russian composer and pianist Anton Rubinstein. The collection by Ye. Starovoitova, N. Petukhova and T. Kriventsova is publi shed for the first time. Both professional musicians and music-lovers are to get much pleasure during the hours of idleness and important concert performances.
