The author of the ''Method'' is Liubov Seagal, the prominent violinist and teacher that contributed greatly to the Soviet violin teaching.
Many outstanding violinists of both last and present century could name L. Seagal as their first teacher, e. g. Vladimir Spivakov.
Her ''Violin Method'' was published in 1936 and became since then a rarity. Until now it remains the one of the best violin method for children.
