The sketches of the proposed edition of ''The Cellist's Reader'' contain the experience of many generations of cello masters. They comprehensively cover the elements of the technique of this stage of education - the middle classes of a music school. In this study guide, the sketches are mainly small in volume, which is necessary to facilitate their perception and focus on the development of a particular performing skill. In contrast to the elementary grades, here each etude includes several methodological problems at once.
There are three sections in this issue of the Reader. Each of them contains etudes for the development of the main types of technique for playing the instrument, but the degree of complexity of the etudes for each subsequent section increases.
