Valery Olegovich Fadeyev (b. 1946) - the Petersburgian composer, working in different genres.
Teaching piano and composition in the music school Valery Fadeyev pays much attention to the sphere of creations especially for children. Child’s spiritual world is close and clear to him.
''Musical Kaleidoscope'' is the collection of piano ensembles for junior and middle forms of children music school. Each piece develops the sense of special performing devices, such as the diversity of strokes, metre-rhythmical versatility, articulation and mainly imaginative sphere. All the miniatures are provided with the titles feeding children’s creativity.
The collection will be of great use during prima vista lessons and home music-making, so as in concert and pedagogical practice. One of the pieces ''Merry-Go-Round'' was once the obligatory composition at the Second International Competition of children piano duets ''Brother and Sister.''
