The collection of pieces for a snare drum (percussion set) includes programmed miniatures by V. Eskin of various degrees of complexity (junior - senior classes of children's music schools). The drum parts are recorded mainly in two versions: the upper one is intended for beginner drummers, the lower one is for a more advanced level. Pianos and drums are equal members of the ensemble, performers interact with each other in solo and joint episodes. Even in the simplest versions of the score, various playing techniques are provided for: striking the rim, playing with brushes, hi-hat, rhythmic improvisation, etc. If desired, individual pieces can be performed on a big drum with a pedal, and the ensemble can be supplemented with melodic percussion instruments.

Melodic and harmonic simplicity, storyline and some stage presence make this music attractive for children of different ages. Learning the pieces by Vladimir Eskin will bring great pleasure to the students.
