Weinberg, Mieczyslaw: 6 children's Songs for voice & Piano, op. 139
The vocal cycle Six Children’s Songs was written and first published in 1947. In 1984, Weinberg turned to him again, making minor changes and designating the cycle as op. 139.
This composition is organically connected with folk art, images with folklore sources occupy an important place in it. However, each song also has a special authorial style, marked by a post-romantic musical tradition.
The songs published in the proposed publication can be performed separately, but initially form a single cycle in which one day is recreated from the life of an inquisitive child: a morning walk, nature paintings, animals and pl ants that attract attention ...
The publication is addressed to performers, researchers, lovers of the composer.
