This collection of articles by the well-known Russian pianist, professor, dean of piano faculty of the Russian Academy of Music (Gncsin's), Phd Sergey E. Senkov accumulates his works, devoted to the personality and creative work of the Great Russian composer, pianist and conductor Sergey Vassilievich Rachmaninov.
The works, this book consists of, arc combined in two sections. The first one, named ''Verges of creative work'' includes articles, which show different sides of Rachmaninov’s gift and his world-outlook. The second one -''Problems of style and interpretation'' is devoted to researching Rachmaninov’s musical language and performing style, to problems of his compositions interpretation.
The book is meant for professional musicians and may also be of interest for wide range of readers. It includes rare photos, made by the author in Rachmaninov’s villa ''SENAR''.
