The Concerto in G minor by Antonio Vivaldi belongs to his series "Opera IX. La Cetra". The source of the present edition is the Collected Works of Vivaldi edited by Malipiero, published by Ricordi. The setting of the original score was: violino principale, violino I-II, viole, violoncelli, contrebassi and organo (or cembalo). The arangement for violin and piano is kept in accurate conformity with the musical text of the score. The continuo part, however, has been more freely adapted (of course within the possibilties of baroque style). The violin part has been provided with fingering and modes of bowing by Tivadar Országh, the arrangement for the piano is the work of Oliver Nagy.
