Muczynski's grandparents emigrated from Warsaw, Poland to Chicago - where he was born in 1929. Throughout his musical career, Muczynski has earend a reputation for being a fine pianist, as well as composer, with numerous award tohis name. Op. 29 was composed in 1979 and remains to be an exciting, challenging work for any classical alto saxophone player today.
