This troubadour-styled poem tells the story of a little sparrow who builds its nest in the crook of the cross. The allegory is clear: the safety of Calvary is a tower of shelter for the sinner. A simple folk-like melody delivers the story with basic harmonies, lending a charming innocence to the whole and portraying the cross as a tree of grace and hope.
