Scripture: Psalm 23

Written as a remembrance to the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States, this introspective elegy is a movingtribute. Written with an expressive harmonic vocabulary, the composer makes use of several traditional sources in creating a mournful mosaic of sound. Schubert, Dvorak, and the haunting motives of Taps co-mingle togethersupported by delicate piano writing and sections of a cappella writing.
