Here is a journey through life in miniature. By the time the morning melody from the beginning sounds again at the end of Killmayer's musical ''Tales of this life and beyond'', we have experienced many things: we have dashed joyfully through overgrown gardens of childhood in Kurdistan and visited imaginary worlds - dark, magical and frightening, while also enjoying the delights of this world - celebrating Elvira's birthday and chasing the last passing cloud away from the horizon. The F major at the end shines clean and bright after so many adventures have valiantly been survived.
