Argentine composer and bandoneon virtuoso, Astor Piazzolla added new dimension to the traditional tango with his use of jazz elements, extended harmonies, and dissonance. His distinctive composition Street Tango is beautifully adapted here for band with its variety in textures, tempos, and almost improvisatory nature.
