Poly was written as a homage to György Ligeti and his music. Therefore the musical elements and the titles of the movements refer to those artistic, technical, scientific, acoustic creationsand phenomena that Ligeti admired.Balázs Horváth won the 1st prize with POLY at the composition competition 'In memoriam György Ligeti' in Berlin, 2007.
